This ride is about 200 miles. It covers the entire pass and the Chief Joeseph Highway. Included is the Buffalo Bill Historical Center. This is an incredible western history museum. They boast the only complete collection of every Colt firearm ever produced. The complete ride report includes recommendations for food and gas.
The Red Lodge to Columbus ride is about a 100 miles. These roads always remind me of the descriptions of South East Ohio. The apex is always at the crest of the hill. You'll pass through the infamous Roscoe, Montana, home of the Grizzly Bar. There area couple of interesting side trips to Luther and Fishtail. The entire loop is bordered by the incredible beauty of the Absaroka Beartooth Wilderness area.
This ride is about 340 miles. It's an all day ride and is intended for those that want to see the park and are willing to put up with the RV's to do it. If you are serious about this ride. Buy a guide book and spend the day. You won't be disappointed.
